The second quarter of 2025 saw ATS Group continuing the momentum of Q1 with strategic leadership and regulatory approval expansions, as well as a number of new international partnerships across the Middle East and beyond.
In June, ATS Technic appointed Captain Jon D. Alexander as Chairman of the Board. Captain Alexander brings nearly five decades of aviation experience spanning military and civil aviation, where he ensured the secure transport of the nation’s leadership and visiting dignitaries.
His extensive background includes over 13,000 flight hours and executive roles such as Chief Pilot, Director of Aviation, and Standardization Instructor, for elite, high-profile aviation entities around the world. Captain Alexander’s appointment highlights ATS Technic’s focus on leadership excellence and its continued investment in experienced oversight during a time of global expansion.
Continuing its efforts to broaden its international regulatory approvals, ATS Technic has received Part 145 certification from the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA). This latest approval joins a growing list of international certifications that includes EASA (EU), Guernsey, Turkmenistan, and the Kingdom of Jordan.
Also, in Q2, ATS Technic signed a new line maintenance agreement with Ethiopian Airlines, further cementing its operational footprint in Jordan and the UAE. As Africa’s largest carrier with the continent’s youngest fleet, Ethiopian Airlines will benefit from ATS Technic’s high-standard maintenance services across Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, as well as four major airports in the UAE.
This partnership includes routine and non-routine maintenance, close coordination with flight crews, and enhanced safety inspection services. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing the MENA region’s aviation industry by providing top-tier maintenance services that airlines can trust,” said Mahdi Al-Tahaineh, founder of ATS Technic.
ATS Technic has also entered into a new line maintenance agreement with AJet, one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing airlines and a subsidiary of flag-carrier Turkish Airlines.
Under this partnership, ATS Technic will provide comprehensive line maintenance services, technical manual support, and ramp-to-flight-deck communications across its UAE line stations.
“With AJet’s expansion and focus on modern, sustainable aviation, we are proud to provide the critical support needed to keep their fleet operating safely and efficiently,” said Captain Jon Alexander.
